Why This Issue Was Delayed

Since its inception in the late 1990’s, “Math Teaching Today” has tried to examine issues underreported by more popular media:  sex differences in math testing data, charter schools, honesty in our schools and among our student body, and the over-acceleration of our students in their math studies, just to name a few.

The research and background necessary to write accurate articles takes time, and that time has been scarce in the last two years, as we have launched a non-profit organization, Resources for Inner city CHildren, that has tried to bring some of the same educational resources to inner-city students as are readily available to our more affluent client base in NW Washington and the suburban counties.

Parents and teachers are invited to contribute to Math Teaching Today.  Any comments or suggestions are welcome!
